Conceived and built by an educator, the Land of Make Believe was specifically designed to excite children’s imagination and to make learning FUN. By incorporating fun with learning, this simple dairy farm was transformed into a “magical land.” We offer wonderful and interesting opportunities for educators to create lesson plans about our historical attractions. Share the excitement with your students and enhance their learning experience!
The mysterious and historical legend of Jenny Jump dates to 1748, when nine year old Jenny and her family were among the very first settlers in Western NJ. During the Civil War, a special steam locomotive was built in Paterson, NJ. The 1863 C.P. Huntington contributed to the building of the Trans-Continental Railroad. Ride the train and experience the thrill as it chugs along the foothills of the Jenny Jump State Forest!
Five Star General Dwight D. Eisenhower, the Supreme Commander of the European Allied Forces, was flown in DC-3 airplanes during WWII. Come and explore the cockpit of our authentic WWII DC-3 airplane and encourage your children’s imaginative play at being its pilot and co-pilot!
